    wells:The caveat is that to use the term "critical thinking" is to be trendy. That is, people bandy about the idea, but most don't have a clue as to the process of critical thinking. It's easy to say that a given course provides students with a challenge to think critically, it's not so easy to prove that. What many people believe is critical thinking is perhaps creative thinking, analysis, etc. In reality, those things are parts of the critical thinking process. We really need to work this through so people understand the complete process before just willy-nilly throwing in the term.
